Welcome to Recife for YERSINIA 2010, the 10th International Symposium on Yersinia, which is being held from October 23-27, 2010. The aim of the symposium is to bring together researchers from around the world working on YERSINIA to exchange ideas and knowledge on topics such as Epidemiology and Diagnostics; Vaccines and Chemotherapy; Host pathogen interactions and Pathogenesis; Cellular, Genetics, Molecular and Structural Yersiniology; Medical and Veterinary aspects.
The event takes place every four years, and for the first time it will be held in South America. I hope you enjoy the city of Recife, Pernambuco State, located in northeastern Brazil.
Come join us, meet old and new friends and establish new partnerships and collaborations. I am looking forward to your abstracts, to learn about your work and to disseminate your latest advances. Your participation and contribution will certainly add to the scientific success of the jubilee celebration of the International Symposium on Yersinia.
